Winston Park Development
Winston Park was a new subdivision built in Melrose Park beginning in approximately 1956. These homes of three types (Ashley, Beverly and Canterbury) were constructed in former farm fields that ran from present-day Fourteenth Avenue to an area east of Fifth Avenue. The homes from Fourteenth through Ninth Avenues were begun in 1956 while the neighborhood east of Ninth was started in about 1958.
